Jim brings 21 years of community mental health experience, plus 15 years of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) counseling, coming from both traditional clinical and residential treatment milieus to ATMC.

He earned his CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counseling) through Illinois Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Professional Certification Association Inc., while attending Harold Washington City College. He attended Judson University for his BA, where he participated in various outside activities including volunteering at Anderson’s Animal Shelter where he served his community as a Community Outreach Coordinator. His career experience led him to become a Startup operator for a Mental Illness and Substance Abuse (MISA) group home in Northfield, IL. He has succeeded in roles such as: Crisis Interventionist, Residential Program Coordinator, Care Manager, and Medical Services Coordinator.

Jim’s diverse background in MI/SUD brings a well rounded and experienced behavioral healthcare professional to the treatment program, capable of addressing a variety of treatment modalities targeting the specific needs of the clientele ATMC serves.
